I came to this work by way of personal and professional evolution, having undergone personal challenges and struggles, leading me to my first therapist and my own healing journey.
I feel privileged to do what I do, helping people to feel better about themselves and more authentic, present and connected to the people in their lives.
Key values in my work as well as personally are compassion, curiosity, honesty, humour and integrity. People can be surprised that humour comes into therapy, but believe me it does, and is often an essential part of the work! It's about being human!
I believe our relationship is key to the success of the therapy, so I bring all of myself into our time together. I am warm, present and candid, often reflecting personal examples that may illuminate a place where you are feeling stuck or to help you feel less isolated. Given this, if you're looking for a 'blank slate' therapist, we are probably not a good fit.
Working with integrity is essential. You need to trust that I will operate ethically, legally and honestly. After all, it is a huge thing to share yourself with a stranger. As a member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy I commit to ethical & legal values in my work, giving you piece of mind.
I am a member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and abide by their Ethical Framework. In doing this I commit to ethical practice.
